Silver Lake Fishing

Carson’s Camp (aka Silver Lake Resort) was the first settlement here on the Loop, and the beauty of Silver Lake leaves no questions as to why they chose down canyon. Rent a boat or kayak from Silver Lake Resort or launch your own at the USFS Silver Lake boat launch. Or simply hang out on the beautiful shores, just be mindful if you are fishing next to HWY 158…we roll our windows up for fear of being hooked!

Location

Silver Lake is located off HWY 158 down canyon from the Village area

Fish Tips

There are many spots here. Float to where upper Rush Creek enters the lake, head near the dam by Silver Lake Boat Launch or find your favorite shore spot along HWY 158 or the Silver Lake Recreation Area. Alternatively you can launch your float or boat from Silver Lake Resort and head to the other side of Silver Lake where you cannot access by foot.

Fish There

Rainbow Trout, Lahontan Cutthroat Trout, Brown Trout
